Is Business Hub the right fit for my program area?
|
Business Hub and Centrelink Business Online Services, known collectively as Business Online Services (BOS), are applications that can be used to better assist vulnerable customers in accessing services they would normally need to contact the agency to complete. The business can complete a task with the consent of the customer via:
-
a user logging into the system and selecting a service within Business Online Services (BOS), or
-
acting on behalf of the customer as a nominee (such as a public trustee) by:
-
logging into BOS
-
selecting Nominee Services in Business Hub, and
-
complete tasks as a business
If the program area currently provides a service to businesses or organisations via a manual process, Business Hub may be suitable. If the program area interacts with businesses who need to complete varying tasks on behalf of a customer, Nominee Services may be suitable. |
What is the difference between businesses completing a service or a task?
|
Businesses who require a service to complete a task on behalf of a customer will usually only need access to complete the service that they provide for the customer. For example, a business requires the ability to lodge a Paid Parental Leave claim with the agency, they can log on to Business Hub and complete a claim on behalf of their employee for their business.
Businesses who wish to act on behalf of customers that need to lodge claims or submit varying forms with the agency would be best suited to act as a nominee for the customer via Nominee Services.
