A carer is selected for a CA (child) HCC only review on 13 July. The carer lodges the review on 28 July. The review is processed on 02 August. It is identified that the care receiver's medical condition changed on 01 June resulting in the carer now being qualified for CA payment. The start day for payment is 28 July, as this was the day the carer lodged the review forms.

A carer who is CA (child) HCC only contacts the agency on 1 November about a change in their child’s medical condition which was diagnosed on 3 September. A review is sent to the carer on 1 November. The carer lodges the forms on 13 November and is assessed as qualifying for CA payment. The start day for payment is 1 November as this was the day the carer notified the agency of the change.
