This document outlines how to use the Compensation Estimator to calculate estimates of preclusion periods and compensation charges.

Prior to accepting a compensation payment

Customers, their solicitors and financial advisers are encouraged to use the Estimator.

Do not use the Estimator to calculate lump sum compensation payments awarded:

• by a court
• by a tribunal after a contested hearing, or
• for an arrears of periodic compensation
