Age eligibility for Survivor Pension

Belgium is in a transitional period where the minimum age is increasing each year by 6 months.

2016	45 years and 6 months
2017	46 years
2018	46 years and 6 months
2019	47 years
2020	47 years and 6 months
2021	48 years old
2022	48 years and 6 months
2023	49 years
2024	49 years and 6 months
2025	50 years

A transition allowance may be payable if a spouse does not meet the age requirements but does meet the other conditions. It is payable for 12 months (without dependent children) or 24 months (with dependent children).
