Entitlement at the end of the school year Alfred's parents lodge an AIC claim in January for the previous year. Alfred is registered and commenced home schooling in QLD from 15 December of the previous year. QLD Term 4 dates were 7 October - 12 December. Not studying in the following year: Alfred commenced study after the last day of Term 4 and is not studying in January (the next instalment period). Alfred is not eligible for the next term's payment and is only eligible for AIC from the date he commenced study to the end of the entitlement period. AIC is payable for the period 15 December - 31 December. Studying in the following year: Alfred commenced study after the last day of Term 4 and is studying in January (the next instalment period). Alfred is not eligible for AIC from the date he commenced study and is only eligible for next term's payment. This is because Alfred did not meet the term instalment cut off period for AIC payment and commenced study after the term had finished. AIC is only payable from the start of the next instalment period. |
