For the instrument that allows a person to qualify for an annual EMEP:
- subject to other eligibility criteria, if they or a person for whom they care uses specified essential medical equipment, see Social Security (Essential Medical Equipment Payment - Essential Medical Equipment) Specification 2022
- if they, their partner or a person for whom they care holds an energy account or contributes to paying an energy account for a specified form of energy that is supplied to the relevant EMEP residence, see Social Security (Essential Medical Equipment Payment - Energy) Specification 2022
