This document explains details on the eligibility criteria for Disability Employment Services (DES), the type of assistance offered and requirements for participation with DES.

Job Plan + Read more ... The Disability Employment Services (DES) provider is responsible for monitoring the job seeker's compliance with their Job Plan. The DES provider manages the job seeker's Job Plan. They add DES to the Job Plan at the initial interview or when the job seeker commences DES. Services Australia can view a DES activity on a Job Plan, but an activity cannot be added or removed. Once the job seeker is placed (commenced) in DES, the placement date is automatically updated on the Activity and Exemption Summary (AEX) screen with an activity type of DES. |

Withdrawal from program by job seeker before the end date + Read more ... Job seekers without mutual obligation requirements, such as people receiving DSP, can choose to exit from DES at any time. The volunteer participant should tell their DES provider that they no longer wish to participate, the DES provider will record the Exit and the Exit reason. Customers with mutual obligation requirements generally cannot choose to exit from DES however, may change DES providers as often as they like, upon request.
