Review of decision for Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme (TFES) 109-17021500

There are 2 levels of review:

• An initial review of decision conducted by the Services Australia – TFES Service Delivery team
• A claimant can request a second review if they are not satisfied with the outcome of the initial review. This is conducted by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts

A claimant can ask for a review of:

• claimant eligibility
• goods eligibility
• a claim for assistance

A review of decision must be:

• requested by the person directly affected by the decision who is not satisfied with the outcome, within 30 days of receiving notification of the original decision
• completed by a reassessment officer within 30 days of receipt of the request

The reassessment officer:

• cannot be a person involved in making the original decision. This includes the Quality Assurance Officer who quality checked the original decision
• makes a decision in line with the TFES Ministerial Directions
• provides the outcome of the review and reasons for the decision to the claimant in writing
