This document outlines how customers can register, remove and amend their Australian Organ Donor Register (AODR) details online. They can do this using their Medicare online account.

AODR services online

Customers over 18 years of age can use their Medicare online account to:

  • view their registration status
  • register their organ and tissue donation decision
  • amend their organ and tissue donation decision
  • remove their organ and tissue donation decision
  • register their decision not to be an organ or tissue donor
  • opt out of getting invitations to register

Age restrictions

  • Customers must be over 18 to record their consent on the register
  • Customers 16 to 17 years can register their intent. Parental consent is required
  • Children under 16 years cannot register their consent on the register
