Employment Services System (ESS) for Assessment Services 111-11010000



This document outlines information for Assessment Services staff using the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR), Employment Services System (ESS) to arrange and conduct an Employment Services Assessment (ESAt) or Job Capacity Assessment (JCA).

Employment Services System (ESS)

Assessors and administrative support staff can use the ESS and ESS SmartClient to complete the Assessment Services end-to-end process for the customer, such as:

  • set up site details and conduct searches (ESS Web)
  • maintain diary and calendar entries (ESS Web)
  • access customer information (ESS Web and ESS SmartClient)
  • create or reschedule appointment (ESSWeb)
  • record interview attendance (ESS Web)
  • view ESAt/JCA reports (ESS Web and ESS SmartClient)
  • complete ESAt/JCA reports (ESS SmartClient), and
  • make referrals by Job Capacity Assessment (JCA) Assessors to Employment Services (ESS SmartClient) and specialist assessments

Training

All Assessment Services staff will complete appropriate training before completing any aspects of the ESAt/JCA process.
