Using HPOS Mail Centre to send letters for Practice Incentives Program (PIP) and Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) - Practice Stream 012-22080436



This document outlines how to send letters to practices through the HPOS Mail Centre.

About HPOS

HPOS is a secure, online single point of entry for:

  • healthcare professionals
  • organisations, and
  • industry staff

HPOS enables their access to a range of Australian Government health related services for business purposes.

Practice owners and authorised contacts access HPOS by using an individual Provider Digital Access (PRODA) account. Practice owners and authorised contacts with a PRODA account can:

  • apply for the PIP and WIP - Practice Stream
  • update their practice details for PIP and WIP - Practice Stream
  • apply for more incentives under the PIP
  • access information about the PIP and WIP - Practice Stream
  • view their payment advices
  • receive broadcasts and mail through the HPOS Mail Centre
  • communicate with Services Australia

About the HPOS Mail Centre

HPOS Messages is the email facility for external HPOS users supported by the HPOS Support Mail Centre. This system includes an internal mail centre system for nominated Services Australia staff to manage emails from HPOS users.

Staff must send:

  • Practice letters to the practice's organisation mailbox. This lets authorised individuals send and receive HPOS messages for the practice or site
    • Staff can link an owner or authorised contact person to the practice profile using their Registration Authority (RA) number. This will give them access to the practice's organisation mailbox for the PIP and WIP - Practice Stream
      Note:
      only send PIP and WIP - Practice Stream letters to an individual HPOS mailbox in exceptional circumstances

Quality checking of letters

Letters sent to practices and providers are 100% quality checked. The usual rostering and scheduling for Incentives Service Officers will include letter quality checking.
