Types of rent the customer may be paying

For the purposes of RA, rent means amounts paid or payable on a regular basis. This is a condition of occupying the principal home.

Types of rent could include:

  • private rent
  • lodging for accommodation
  • board and lodging where the money is for meals and accommodation
  • accommodation in a care situation
  • fees in a retirement village/care facility
  • site fees for a:
    • caravan or other vehicle
    • mobile home
    • transportable home
    • tent
  • mooring fees to moor a boat
