ISP Resource required + Read more ...

To request a resource, go to the ICT Security Portal. See the Resources page for a link.

  • Select Work Dashboard
  • Select Make a Process Request
  • The Process Request Category will default to All. Select Continue
  • Select Request Resource to go to the Make a Process Request form
  • Enter a Reason for requiring the access
  • In the Search Criteria, select Mainframe Application, then Reference Data Facility. Select the Search button
  • From the Search Results, select RDFTAB - RDF TABLE SCREEN then select > to move it under the Resources to Request table

Select Submit.

Accessing the RDF Row List (RDRL) screen + Read more ...

In Customer Record (not Customer First), key:

  • System: 'RDF'
  • Environment: 'C' and [Enter]
  • 'RDTL' in Nxt:,
  • 'DIN' in the Search: field/box and [Enter]
  • Select the DIN.CRN.RSTRCT.UPDT.TABLE line and press [Enter]. Press [Enter] twice to go through the RDF Table Definition Enquiry (RDTD) screen and RDF Column Definition Enquiry (RDCD) screens. [Enter] again to go to the RDRL screen

Restricting a record + Read more ...

After accessing the RDRL screen, key 'A' in any of the selector fields next to any Customer Reference Number (CRN).

The RDF Row Details (RDRD) screen will display. Key the following fields:

  • RECORD.ID (CRN): CRN to be restricted with no spaces
  • USER.IDS: the logon IDs of the users. Separate the logons by a comma, no spaces
  • MESSAGE.CODE: 'W003DI' (zero and a capital i)
  • DISPLAY.USERS: 'Y' to display authorised users on the RUR screen. If left blank, it will default to N
  • TEST.INSTANCE: optional field, leave blank
  • ENVIRONMENT.ID: optional field, leave blank
  • Press [Enter].

For partnered customers, apply the restriction to both records.

Key 'END' in the Nxt: field.

Adding or removing a logon to an already restricted record + Read more ...

Access to a restricted record is limited to a maximum of 5 logons at any time.

After accessing the RDRL screen:

  • 'S'elect the CRN for which access needs to be added or removed. This will display the RDRD screen
  • In the USER.IDS: field, add or remove the logon to be updated. Separate the logons by a comma, no spaces

For partnered customers, apply the restriction and access to both records.

Browse a row + Read more ...

After accessing the RDRL screen, key 'B' in the selector fields next to the CRN.

This displays the RDRD screen, which is protected.

No updates can be made using this option.

Removing a record from restricted update + Read more ...

After accessing the RDRL screen:

  • Key 'D' in the selector fields next to the CRN that restricted access is being removed from
  • Key 'Y' in the Delete Y/N: field
  • Message 10011RD - NNN NNN NNNA deleted will display on a successful deletion

For partnered customers, restriction will need to be removed from both records
