• determine if the case meets the criteria for a General Withdrawal
• determine if the case meets the criteria for a Return

Non Compliance Service Officer 3 and above

• determine if the case meets the criteria for a Return

Deceased Customer Management Service Officer 3/4 and above

• determine if the case meets the criteria for a Return Customer Deceased

Specialist Residency Team Service Officer 3 and above

• determine if the case meets the criteria for a Return No Longer Habitually Resident

International Central Authority Service Officer 3 and above

• notify NZIR of a withdrawal or return
• process the withdrawal or return by ending the case
