This document outlines the process involved for transmittal of Child Support information (excluding NZ) - transmittal referrals and decisions to transmit.

Transmittal process

Transmittal describes the process used by Child Support when requesting overseas jurisdictions to recognise and enforce child and spousal maintenance liabilities.

This document describes the processes for a transmittal referral:

  • possible transmittal referral (International Operations Service Officer)
  • decision on referral (Central Authority team Service Officer)

Note: this document does not include the process to follow when requesting New Zealand to recognise and enforce child and spousal maintenance liabilities.
