Income and Assets

Tailored online income and assets form available only if the customer has deferred an income and/or asset category in a new claim lodged online.

Issue to AIC applicants who are required to obtain medical evidence to support their claim that the student has a special need.

Overseas

Parental income

Issue to ABSTUDY and YA customers who are required to provide parental income information for the base tax year and/or the current tax year.

Note: the Advise Parental Income Service can be used by the Parent/Guardian to declare details for the Base Tax Year and Current Tax Year online. This service is only available to parent(s)/guardian(s) of a YA claimant, or for a YA or ABSTUDY customer's parent/guardian when lodging information for a parental income reassessment.

Unreasonable to live at home

For over 18 year olds issue:

  • SY015 - Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY 'Unreasonable to live at home' Statement by Young Person
  • SY016 - Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY 'Unreasonable to live at home' Statement by Parent(s)/Guardians(s)

Note: if the Statement by young person form (SY015) and Statement by Parent(s)/Guardian(s) form (SY016) align as determined by the UTLAH Over 18 Assessment team, the Statement by a Third Party form (SY017) is not required and should not be requested to grant UTLAH (O18).
The SY017 is only requested if the Statement by young person form (SY015) and Statement by Parent(s) / Guardian(s) form (SY016) do not align or if a parent is refusing or failing to provide a statement, there is doubt about the reason the young person is unable to live at home, then the Statement by a Third Party form (SY017) will be requested by the UTLAH Over 18 Assessment team in order to process UTLAH
