Government Intent

Austudy provides income support for full time students and Australian Apprentices aged 25 years and older.

Eligibility for Austudy

The applicant must be 25 years or older and be either undertaking full-time study in an approved course at an approved educational provider or be a full-time Australian Apprentice.

Austudy is subject to an income and assets test and the applicant must meet residence requirements.
