Assessing a tertiary student studying overseas for Youth Allowance (YA) at the away from home rate 010-06040130

Add the course number to the Search field in the Learning Portal (LMS) in ESSentials:

• CLK00255 - YA Students and Australian Apprentices
• SAU00030 - Away from Home Rate for YA
• CLK00275 - Youth Allowance Job Seekers
• CLK00650 - Early School Leavers
• CLK00325 - Youth Allowance Student New Claims

A student undertaking approved overseas study may receive Rent Assistance (RA) for their accommodation in Australia, if they continue to pay rent while they are overseas. They are not eligible for RA for their overseas accommodation. The following training in ESSentials provides information about RA:
