This document outlines the contact requirements when a customer claiming Youth Allowance (student or apprentice) or Austudy does not respond to an Request for Information (RFI).
Requests for further information to assess claims
An RFI is issued where it is necessary to request further information from a customer to assess their claim. The RFI:
- tells the customer what information is required
- provides the date the documents are due
- puts the claim on hold until the due date, and
- creates an online task for the customer to use to provide the documents
