1

Autonomous customer in receipt of Disability Support Pension (DSP) in Australia had an initial portability interview for a temporary departure to Malta for 26 weeks. + Read more ...

The customer was not entitled to indefinite portability or other special portability for DSP but has been assessed as severely disabled. After 2 weeks, the customer returns the form AUS172 which was endorsed by the Maltese social security authority.

As the customer's autonomous portability does not cease until 4 weeks in a rolling 12 month period, a review must be set to code the transfer to the Agreement with Malta from the date domestic entitlement ceases.

2

Autonomous customer in receipt of DSP in Australia had an initial portability interview for a temporary departure to Germany for 18 weeks. + Read more ...

The customer was not entitled to indefinite portability or other special portability for DSP and has not been assessed as severely disabled. After 8 weeks, the customer returns the form AUS172 which was endorsed by the German social security authority and the necessary forms to make a medical assessment.

A decision is made that the customer is not severely disabled. Under the Agreement with Germany a person who is not severely disabled can only meet the claim requirements if they are an Australian resident and in Australia.

As they are not in Australia at the date the transfer is required, the customer does not meet the claim requirements and cannot be transferred to the Agreement to continue to be paid.

3

Autonomous customer in receipt of Age Pension in Australia had an initial portability interview for a temporary departure to Finland for 13 weeks but with a planned stop-over in Thailand for one week. + Read more ...

As the customer was assessed as a former resident, the customer's record was suspended on departure (SUS-FAR) but after 8 weeks the customer returned the form AUS172 which was endorsed by the Finnish social security authority but would not provide any further evidence of the flights.

As the delegate was not satisfied the customer went directly to Finland with reasonable travel time, the customer's Age Pension is only restored and transfer to the Agreement with Finland is coded from the date the AUS172 was endorsed.

4

Autonomous customer in receipt of DSP in Australia had an initial portability interview for a permanent departure to Spain with the connecting flight stopping-over in Singapore for one night. + Read more ...

The customer was not entitled to indefinite portability or other special portability for DSP but has been assessed as severely disabled. The customer's record was cancelled for the permanent departure (CAN-NAU) but after two weeks, the customer returns the form AUS172 which was endorsed by the Spanish social security authority and provided copies of their boarding passes from the flights.

As the customer's autonomous portability ceased on departure and the delegate is satisfied the customer went directly to Spain with reasonable travel time, the customer's DSP may be restored and the transfer to the Agreement with Spain is coded from the date of departure from Australia.
