Guide to the Information Privacy Principles (IPP) as contained in the Privacy Act 1988

IPP 4, Storage and security - Services Australia must ensure that personal information is stored and kept secure against:

  • loss
  • unauthorised access
  • unauthorised modification
  • unauthorised disclosure, and
  • other misuse
