Does the authority prescription have to be written by an HIV physician?

No, the patient must be referred from a HIV physician to an accredited injector.

If the prescriber states that they are the referring HIV physician, can this be accepted?

Yes, the HIV physician may also be the accredited injector.

What area can be treated with PBS-subsidised polylactic acid (PLA)?

The face only.

Can Service Officers replace expired scripts?

Yes. If a script has expired and has not been dispensed, then a Service Officer can issue another script for initial/maintenance treatment.
