Does the authority prescription have to be written by an HIV physician? No, the patient must be referred from a HIV physician to an accredited injector. |

If the prescriber states that they are the referring HIV physician, can this be accepted? Yes, the HIV physician may also be the accredited injector. |

What area can be treated with PBS-subsidised polylactic acid (PLA)? The face only. |

Can Service Officers replace expired scripts? Yes. If a script has expired and has not been dispensed, then a Service Officer can issue another script for initial/maintenance treatment. |
