How many months of imatinib treatment is available on the PBS for patients with adjuvant GIST?

The PBS allows for a total of 36 months of treatment (initial plus continuing therapy). As continuing treatment is a streamlined PBS authority, the onus is on the prescriber not to exceed this 36-month limit.

Is there an age restriction for any medication on this program?

No, providing all PBS criteria has been met, a patient of any age can be approved.
