On the Basic Search tab, key the middle 4 digits of the hospital provider number.
For example:

If a match is found, the hospital details will display in the Hospital View page.
If no matching record is found, an information message will display advising that there are no matching records.
Note: only National Office staff have access to edit this information.

Select Detailed Search
When conducting a detailed search, it is possible to search on all or some of the available fields. Note: to widen the search, a wild card (%) can be used at the beginning or end of any alpha field, this will return all records that contain that combination of characters. For example, to find Monash Day Hospital, entering %Monash will return all hospitals with that word in the title (a wild card cannot be used with dates or numbers).
Enter the following:

Hospital Name: the name of the hospital.

Property: the property name for the hospital's street address
-
Street Name: a street name for the hospital's street address
-
Post Office Name: key the name of the post office where the hospital's post box is located. Do not complete this field if you have entered details for a street address

Locality: the locality (suburb) for the hospital's street address
-
State: use the drop down box to select the required state or territory
-
Postcode Range: key the postcode range. For the hospitals street address you may enter a single postcode in the first field or a range using both fields

If a match is found, the results will display in the Hospital View page.
If more than one possible record is found, the results will display in a table of matched records. A maximum number of 50 matched records will display. If more than 50 matches are found, more information should be included to refine the search.
Sort the table of matched records by selecting the desired column heading. It is not possible to sort by column heading 'Action'.
If no matching record is found, an information message will display advising that there are no matching records.
The following information will display:

Hospital Number: the hospital number

Hospital Name: the name of the hospital

Contact Name: the person nominated as the contact person for the hospital
-
Building: the name of the building or department will display for the hospital's street address
-
Property: the property name will display if a street number has not been entered and a street name has been entered for a street address

Unit: the unit number for the hospital's street address
-
Street Number: the street number for the hospital's street address
-
Street Name: the street name for the hospital’s street address
-
Street Type: the street type will display if a street name has been entered

Locality: the locality (suburb) for the hospital's street address
-
Postcode: the postcode for the hospital's street address
-
Box Number: the post box number will display for the hospital's mailing address. This field will be blank if details for a street address are present

Post Office Name: the post office name for the hospital's mailing address. This field will be blank if details for a street address are present

State: the state or territory the hospital is located in
-
Hospital Start Date: the hospital start date
-
Hospital End Date: the hospital end date
-
Hospital Type: the hospital type. For example, public / state owned with private beds
-
Number of Beds: the number of beds in the hospital will display. This will display when effective date
-
Effective Date: the effective date of the hospital. This will display when number of beds is keyed
-
Day Care Type: 'YES' will display if the hospital is a day care type hospital. 'NO' or blank will display for public and private hospitals

The Hospital History screen is a summary of data that has been amended. Changed fields are highlighted in grey.
Enter the following in the History Search tab:

Hospital Number: a mandatory field

Processing Date From: the date to start viewing history details from. This field together with the Processing Date To field helps to reduce the number of returned history records. The date entered cannot be a date in the future. If this field is left blank, the system will default to the date of the first record

Processing Date To: the date to view history details to. This field together with the Processing Date From field helps to reduce the number of returned history records. The date entered cannot be a date in the future. If this field is left blank, the system will default to today's date

Show Computer Updates: this field is automatically ticked. Select the check box to take the tick off if you do not want to see the computer updates
