What is the maximum treatment for eltrombopag as the first-line treatment or the grandfathered first-line treatment of severe aplastic anaemia?

Maximum 24 weeks. As there is no continuing phase for the first-line treatment, patients can move on to second-line treatment providing that they meet the restriction criteria.

Is there a maximum amount of treatment that can be approved for the second-line treatment?

With second-line treatment, a maximum of 16 weeks can be approved for the initial authority request, followed by approvals for continuing treatment of up to 24 weeks per request, providing the patient continues to respond to the treatment.

Can increased quantity and/or repeats be authorised for eltrombopag for this condition?

No increase in repeats (NO R INC) is allowed for eltrombopag 25mg tablets. No increase in quantity and/or repeats (NO INC) is allowed for eltrombopag 50mg tablets.
