Table 1: this table explains the indicators used after an automated fortnightly system update has calculated the claiming activity for each open practice location.

The ATSIHS location identifier must be selected when the Service Officer has determined the location is under an Indigenous section 19(2) or 19(5) Direction.

For assessing steps see Section 19(2) and 19(5) Directions.

Note: if a health professional has not indicated a location is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service or Aboriginal Medical Service but a Service Officer can confirm the location is under an Indigenous section 19(2) or 19(5) Direction, the location must be flagged.

GP S/CL

GP super clinic

This flag should not be used.

19AB - A/hours

Section 19AB

This flag is no longer used, however when in operation, some records were flagged and therefore this may be seen in the selected flag list.

Service Officers should delete this flag if they come across it in general processing.

5 Yr Ind

5 Year Overseas Trained Doctors (OTD) Scheme Indicator

The 5 Yr Ind location identifier must be selected on the stem when a 5 Year Overseas Trained Doctors (OTD) Scheme non-location specific exemption has been granted.

S/Flu

This flag is no longer used, however when in operation, some records were flagged and therefore may be seen in the selected flag list.

Academic

Academic Class Exemption

The Academic location identifier must be selected when an Academic Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

AMDS

Approved Medical Deputising Service Class Exemption

The AMDS location identifier must be selected when an approved AMDS 3GA placement is processed and an Approved Medical Deputising Service Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

APED

Approved Private Emergency Department Class Exemption

The APED location identifier must be selected when an approved APED 3GA placement is processed and an Approved Private Emergency Department Program Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

RVTS

Remote Vocational Training Scheme Class Exemption

The RVTS location identifier must be selected when an approved RVTS 3GA placement is processed and a Remote Vocational Training Scheme Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

Temp Resident A/H

Temporary Resident After Hours Class Exemption

The Temp Resident A/H location identifier must be selected when a Temporary Resident After Hours Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

Specialist A/H

Specialist After Hours Class Exemption

The Specialist A/H location identifier must be selected when a Specialist After Hours Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

NT

Northern Territory Class Exemption

The NT location identifier must be selected when a Northern Territory Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

Specialist/Trainee

Specialist and Specialist Trainee Class Exemption

The Specialist/Trainee location identifier must be selected when a Specialist and Specialist Trainee Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

AMS

Aboriginal Medical Services

The AMS location identifier must be selected when the Service Officer has determined the location is under a section 19(2) or 19(5) Direction

3GA DPA

3GA Distribution Priority Area Class Exemption

The 3GA DPA location identifier must be selected when approved general practice 3GA placement is processed and a 3GA Distribution Priority Area Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

3GA DWS

3GA District of Workforce Shortage Class Exemption

The 3GA DWS location identifier must be selected when an approved specified specialist 3GA placement is processed and a 3GA District of Workforce Shortage Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

AGPT - General

Australian General Practice Training Program - General Pathway Class Exemption

This flag is no longer used, however when in operation, some records were flagged and therefore may be seen in the selected flag list.

AGPT - Rural

Australian General Practice Training Program - Rural Pathway Class Exemption

This flag is no longer used, however when in operation, some records were flagged and therefore may be seen in the selected flag list.

Assist - Perm

Assist at Private Operations - Permanent Resident Class Exemption

RLRP

Rural Locum Relief Program Class Exemption

The RLRP location identifier must be selected when an approved RLRP 3GA placement is processed and a Rural Locum Relief Program Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

ATSI HCS

The ATSI HCS location identifier must be selected when an Aboriginal Torres Strait Island Primary Health Care Services Class Exemption has been granted to a specific location.

UCC

Medicare Urgent Care Clinic

The UCC location identifier must be selected when a 19(2) exemption has been granted to a specific location for the purposes of it being a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, as directed by the minster.

GPRC

General Practitioner Respiratory Clinic

The GPRC location identifier must be selected when a 19(2) exemption has been granted to a specific location for the purposes of it being a General Practitioner Respiratory Clinic.

There is currently a known system limitation for address localities that exceed 24 characters (including spaces). It's under investigation and will be fixed.

In the meantime please submit a manual paper application

‘The locality you have entered does not match the post code. Please check the details you have supplied and correct any errors. You may need to contact us on 132 150.’
