Legal name must be recorded as it appears on an Australian Commencement of Identity (CoI) document that can be verified through the DVS. |

Include all names recorded on the CoI document. |
3 |
Legal name must not contain numeric values. |
4 |
Legal name must not contain special characters except for hyphen, space and apostrophe. |
5 |
Legal name must not contain prefixes or suffixes. |
6 |
A customer may select a suggested title that appears in 'User guides - Customer titles' or customer may choose not to have a title recorded. |

Legal name must not contain words like ‘do not use’ ‘duplicate’ ‘error’ and variations thereof. Where a record has been created in error it must be referred for investigation and/or remediation. See Multiple CRN Referral Fast Note. |

Single name must be recorded in the Family name field (for child records record the single name in both the Family and First name fields on the Change Child (CCH) screen in the child record). See Adding a customer to the system. |

If a customer’s name is greater than the number of characters allowed, enter the name as it appears on an approved Commencement of Identity document up to the character limit. Record a Display on Access (DOA) DOC, advising of the customer’s full name. Scan supporting documents to the record for future reference. See Adding a customer to the system. |

Records created in the production environment for the purposes of testing (Centrelink Spurious Records) must contain the words ‘Health-Check-CRN’ in the family name field.
