Rejection reasons for advance payments

This table provides system rejection codes, expanded reasons as shown on the Request Advance Details (AVR) screen, the reason the customer sees online and the advance type.

Troubleshooting access to online advance options

Customer is unable to use this service

The customer is not eligible to use this service.

The Manage advance payments service (apply, make a repayment or adjust repayment) is only available to customers who:

  • have a Centrelink online account linked to their myGov account, and
  • get an income support payment, Mobility Allowance (MOB) or Family Tax Benefit (FTB) payment

Tell the customer why they are not eligible.

Existing activities

Customers will not be able to process their advance online if there is a started advance (AVC) activity on their record. The system will advise the customer to contact Services Australia to process their advance request.
