- If customers are unsure of which Centrelink payment they receive, Service Officers can check the Customer First system to confirm

| Employment Termination Payments (ETP) | - Lump Sum D amounts of an ETP are generally tax-free, and do not count as ATI in a formula assessment. Confirmed, tax-free lump sum D parts of an ETP should therefore not be included in a YTD or estimate period
- Other components of an ETP may be partially or fully taxable depending on the specific circumstances of the customer
- Taxable components of an ETP do count as ATI in a formula assessment. Confirmed taxable components of an ETP should therefore be included in a YTD or estimate period
- Customers should consult with the ATO or a taxation accountant to determine how much of an ETP is taxable
