This document outlines when and where scanning should occur by staff for Medicare documents.
When and where scanning should occur
Scanning may occur at the department’s scanning provider, a smart centre or a service centre. Documents received at smart centres and service centres that require scanning should be scanned on the day they are received unless scanning contingency processes are invoked. See Manage Medicare scanning.
