Description |
Boundary Dates |
Boundary Dates generally are the Entitlement Period End Date (EPED) of the customer’s pay period based on the calculation date and the Entitlement Period End Day Code (EPEDC) current at the calculation date. Other dates may be added by individual clusters to suit their processing requirements. |
Calculation Points |
Calculation Points tell you when to strike a rate for a Client. |
Change Points |
Change Points are set up by summarisation. They tell you when things (typically Circumstance data) have changed. |
DOA |
Date of Action. The date a change in circumstances, or other re-assessment, is actioned. This is basically the date on which the activity is assessed. |
DOE |
Date of Effect. The date on and after which a change applies to a customer's entitlement. The Date of Effect is derived, based on dates of event and the date of receipt of the information, amongst other things. |
DOR |
Date of Receipt. The date on which Centrelink finds out about the change. This really only applies to circumstance changes, not to rules or rates. |
DOV |
Date of Event. The date the event actually happens. The change may be in circumstances, rules, rates, etc. For example, the date the child is born, the customer starts work, income is earned, the customer marries, the customer dies, new rates (or thresholds) apply, etc. See also Primary DOV. |
EPED |
Entitlement Period End Day. This is the last day in a customer's entitlement period. Under present operating conditions, it can only be Monday through Friday. |
EPEDC |
Entitlement Period End Day Code. This is a code which indicates the day on which a customer's entitlement period ends. The values are: Payday Week
|
EPSD |
Entitlement Period Start Day. This is the date of the first day in an entitlement period for a customer. An entitlement period is generally 14 days. |
EPSD of DOR |
Entitlement Period Start Day of the Date of Receipt. This is the first day in an entitlement period for which the customer has notified a change in circumstances. |
In time |
In time relates to the notification period applied to a customer. The notification period is the period of time that a customer has in which to notify Centrelink of a change in their circumstances, and still be considered to have notified in time. The usual notification period is 14 days. The notification period commences on the day after the day the notifiable event or change of circumstances occurs, or the day after the person becomes aware that the event or change of circumstances is likely to occur. The notification period ends on the first working day on or after the 14 or 28 day period ends. Weekends and national public holidays are counted as non-working days. The following are exceptions to this rule:
|
NP |
Notification Period. A customer is given a period of time in which to notify certain events and to have notification deemed to be "in time". The notification period is the period of time from the date of event to the last day on which notification is deemed to be in time. The length of the Notification Period can vary according to the type of event (births and deaths generally have a longer Notification Period) and the customer's location (overseas and remote customers generally have a longer Notification Period) |
Primary DOV |
The date on which a Customer notifiable circumstance change (relevant to the cluster), e.g. Accommodation circumstance change has occurred, as opposed to Savings Provision changes. To be considered a Primary DOV, the circumstance must be provisional in the current activity. Previously confirmed circumstance changes are not considered Primary DOV’s. The Primary DOV list is populated when the circumstances are summarised. See also DOV. |
Stimulus / Reporting Customer |
A customer who is required to lodge a fortnightly or periodic review form (an SU19) to "stimulate" the issue of payment. |
