This document provides information on how to issue a Statement of Debt to a customer.

Statement of Debt purpose

The Statement of Debt is different to the Account Payable Notice. If the customer asks for a copy of the original debt advice, reissue the Account Payable letter.

The Statement of Debt gives customers information about their debts and includes:

  • any period where there were outstanding debts on their record
  • the payments received
  • new debts raised, and
  • adjustments and transactions related to quarantined debts

The Statement of Debt can be issued for periods up to 5 years (60 calendar months).
