This document outlines how Specialised Provider Services (SPS) and Program Management report privacy incidents for the Practice Incentives Program (PIP) and Workforce Incentive Program (WIP) - Practice Stream

Privacy Information

A privacy incident occurs when Services Australia inappropriately collects, stores, allows access to, uses, or discloses the personal information of customers and or staff. PIP and WIP – Practice Stream privacy incidents are reported as they happen.

Possible privacy incidents

Examples of possible privacy incidents include:

  • information sent to incorrect practice
  • documents uploaded to incorrect practice profile in PIP/WIP – Practice Stream Online
  • incorrect practice details entered (such as bank account details)
  • patient personal information disclosed
  • practice documents/information disclosed
