Privacy Information
A privacy incident occurs when Services Australia inappropriately collects, stores, allows access to, uses, or discloses the personal information of customers and or staff. PIP and WIP – Practice Stream privacy incidents are reported as they happen.
Possible privacy incidents
Examples of possible privacy incidents include:
- information sent to incorrect practice
- documents uploaded to incorrect practice profile in PIP/WIP – Practice Stream Online
- incorrect practice details entered (such as bank account details)
- patient personal information disclosed
- practice documents/information disclosed
