This document outlines how delete a Child to Parent (CHI/PAR) link and is for Data Quality Unit (DQU) Quality Assurance (QA) staff only.

Comprehensive Assessment of the record

Data Quality Unit Service Officers have access to delete child to parent (CHI/PAR) links to resolve multiple records. Before a CHI/PAR link is deleted, a comprehensive assessment of the record(s) must be undertaken. For multiple child record(s), DQU staff are to refer to Multiple Centrelink Child CRN Checks and Cleansing.

Note: this procedure is for multiple records. A separate procedure is available for Intertwined records.

Child not displayed

After the CHI/PAR link has been deleted, the child will not display in the parent(s)/guardian(s) record or be included in future correspondence.
