This document outlines how a customer can view their Medicare claims history in their Medicare online account through the myGov website or the myGov app.
How a customer can view their Medicare claims history online

1 | Access service
To access the service, customers need to: - sign in to their myGov account through the myGov website or the myGov app
- select Medicare
- from their Medicare online account homepage, select:
- myGov website > View claims history in the Medicare claims history Quick links tile, or
- myGov website > History and statements menu > Medicare claims history
- myGov app > View claims history

2 | Select person
Select the Viewing history for dropdown menu to choose the person the statement is for. The page only lists dependents who are under 14 years and listed on the Medicare card. Note: customers must make a separate request for each person. |
3 | Select period
Select the Period dropdown menu to choose what period the statement is for: - Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Last 12 months
- Last 2 years
- Last 3 years

4 | Accept declaration
Customers can only view the Medicare claims history information for a person under 14 years if they: - declare they are either the person to whom this information relates, or a parent/guardian who has parental responsibility for the child
- accept that they understand giving false or misleading information is a serious offence
Note: CDMS does not recognise family relationships. If a child over 14 years accepts the declaration, they can see the Medicare claims history of anyone under 14 years on the same Medicare card. A customer can request their own Medicare card through their Medicare online account when they turn 15 years. When they do this, they can no longer view details of others on their previous Medicare card. The Medicare claims history page shows. |
5 | Select option
Download history Customers can select the Download history (PDF) option to download a copy of their history statement. |
6 | Return to homepage
Select Home to go back to the Medicare online account homepage. |
