International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificates (ICVC) 011-22031026

This document explains the International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificates (ICVC). ICVCs are no longer required to travel overseas.

From 8 February 2025, the ICVC has been removed from all customer facing products. Staff are not to issue the ICVC after this date.

These include:

  • Medicare Online Account
  • Express Plus Medicare mobile app
  • Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) service
  • myGov app.

If customers want proof of their COVID-19 vaccinations they can download their complete or COVID-19 and Influenza immunisation history statement/s (IHS).

If customers previously downloaded their ICVC and added it to their:

  • myGov,
  • Apple, or
  • Google wallets, it will stay there until the customer chooses to remove it from their wallet

The option to issue an ICVC in the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Service Officer Portal will no longer be available from 8 March 2025.
