This document outlines when and where scanning should occur by staff for Medicare documents.

When and where scanning should occur

Scanning may occur at the department’s scanning provider, a smart centre or a service centre. Documents received at smart centres and service centres that require scanning should be scanned on the day they are received unless scanning contingency processes are invoked.
