Restoration of a Low Income Health Care Card (LIC) 101-06040080
This document outlines information relating to the restoration of Low Income Health Care Card (LIC).
Restoration qualification criteria
A customer's LIC can be restored, if:
- the underlying cancellation reason was incorrect, and
- the customer meets the qualification criteria for LIC
LIC cannot be restored unless the customer remains eligible for the whole period covered by the restoration. To ensure the customer is entitled, any changes of circumstances must be updated as part of the activity to restore the customer's record.
If a LIC:
- has expired, it cannot be restored unless a renewal activity has been submitted within 13 weeks from the expiry date of LIC. See Low Income Health Care Card (LIC) renewals
