About Business Hub
Business Hub is a secure online service for registered businesses and third party organisations (TPO). Users can log on and connect to a range of services offered by the agency.
Business Hub provides ability for approved businesses to:
- access specific program services
- apply for new services with the agency
- access online letters
- manage business personnel
- ‘Ask a question’ and access user guides using the Business Hub virtual assistant
- view alerts and messaging
- access reports and file exchange
Business Hub online services
Businesses that work with the agency will need access to Business Hub to access online services. These services include:
- Paid Parental Leave Scheme
- Nominee Organisation Online Services
- Group Payment Schedules
- Cape York Welfare Quarantining Services
- Supporting People at Risk Service
- Child Protection
- Employment Separation Certificate Service
- Customer Information Release service
- Transition to Independent Living
- Financial Verification Service
- Assurance of Support
Additional services are currently being migrated from Centrelink Business Online Services to Business Hub.
The following organisation types use Business Hub to exchange information with Centrelink:
- Australian government
- state/territory government
- welfare organisations and community groups
- employers
- financial planners
- public trustee organisations
- legal professionals
- financial institutions
- registered/small businesses
Development of other services in Business Hub is ongoing. Document Lodgement Service is a future capability that will continue to build on the benefits to the delivery of agency programs.
The agency will notify businesses about the transition from Centrelink Business Online Services (CBOS) to Business Hub. CBOS will stay active until all services have migrated to Business Hub.
Over time it is intended that Business Hub will replace CBOS.
How to access Business Hub
Businesses must authenticate via Provider Digital Access (PRODA) to access Business Hub. PRODA is an online authentication system. Once a user registers they will get and email with a Registration Authority (RA) number to connect to Business Hub.
The Process page contains steps to follow:
- if a person contacts us using another person’s PRODA RA
- for managing suspicious activity
Authorised staff from third party organisations (TPO) can self-manage their staff access. They can:
- grant access to new employees
- edit and remove access for existing employees that have left their organisation
- manage and update information about their organisation
Management of Business Hub
The Program Compliance and Confirmation (PCC) Team are the business owners of Business Hub. They manage:
- functionality and design
- coordination, escalation and management of changes and issues
Individual services are owned by program areas.
