After Hours Incentive practice application for the Practice Incentives Program (PIP) 012-10010120
This document outlines information about the PIP After Hours Incentive.
Aim of the Incentive
The PIP After Hours Incentive supports general practices to give patients suitable access to after-hours care.
There are 5 payment levels of the PIP After Hours Incentive. Practices can only qualify for one payment level. The levels are not cumulative.
Practices refer to the eligibility requirements and make their own determination about what payment level they are eligible to claim.
Applying for and/or updating details for the After Hours Incentive
A practice can apply and/or update their payment levels for the After Hours Incentive:
- using Health Professional Online Services (HPOS), or
- by completing the relevant sections of the Practice Incentives Program Application (IP001) form at the time the practice is applying for PIP, or
- The Practice Incentives Program After Hours Incentive application (IP030) form

Withdraw from the After Hours Incentive
A practice can withdraw from the After Hours Incentive via:
- Health Professional Online Services (HPOS), or
- written correspondence via letter, email or HPOS messaging
The correspondence must include the:
- Practice ID
- Practice name
- Full practice address
- Consent to withdraw from the After Hours Incentive, and
- Signature by at least one registered owner or authorised contact person
