Financial investment definition
For income and asset test purposes, a financial investment includes:
- cash
- deposit money
- a managed investment. This includes margin loans
- a listed security
- a loan not repaid in full
- an unlisted public security
- gold, silver or platinum bullion
- an asset-tested income stream (short term)
- some account-based income streams, depending on the purchase date
- Home Equity Access Scheme advance payments
