This document outlines the process involved in transmittal of Child Support information (excluding NZ) post transmittal.

Transmittal process

Transmittal describes the process used by Child Support when requesting overseas jurisdictions to recognise and enforce child and spousal maintenance liabilities.

This document describes the processes for post transmittal action:

  • response from Central Authority - case registered
  • no response from Central Authority - request update
  • monitor for payment
  • withdrawal

Note: this document does not include the process to follow when requesting New Zealand to recognise and enforce child and spousal maintenance liabilities.
