Principal carer of dependent children Service Updates 102-01130000
This document outlines Service Profiling information regarding the service updates that are applicable to principal carers of dependent children who have compulsory mutual obligation requirements.
Purpose of service updates for principal carers
Service updates for principal carers of dependent children initiate the contact required to:
- tell job seekers of their mutual obligation requirements
- assess job seekers when their exemptions from participation are due to expire
- review job seekers whose personal circumstances require:
- further mutual obligation exemptions granted, or
- referral to appropriate employment services
- negotiation of Job Plans for Centrelink managed job seekers assessed as fully meeting their principal carer mutual obligation requirements through an approved activity
Components of Service Strategy
Service updates are displayed as service components for the relevant profile on the job seeker’s record. Each service component is a set of service actions to be completed, some automated within the system such as appointment booking, and some manually (for example, conducting a face to face or remote servicing contact, or requesting contact), to finalise the process.
The details of a job seeker's profiles are displayed on the Profile Summary (PQS) screen to allow Service Officers to better prepare for job seekers contacts.
