This document outlines the processes used by officers in the International Central Authority (CA) team to manage administrative duties associated with the exchange of information between Child Support and Inland Revenue, New Zealand (NZIR).

Central Authority team

The Central Authority team manage:

  • the exchange of information between Child Support and NZIR, and
  • the saving and reformatting of spreadsheets containing the information

Method of exchanging information

The exchange of information is via the NZ secure messaging mailbox with the request for, transfer of information to and information provided by NZIR included in a number of spreadsheets aligned to different processes. These spreadsheets are titled:

  • ‘NZ Daily Exchange’ – request for information from NZIR and responses received from NZIR
    • High Priority Customer Location
    • Article 5 & 7 Notification
    • Article 5.2 Habitual Resident
    • Miscellaneous
  • ‘NZ Weekly Exchange’ – request for information from NZIR and responses received from NZIR
    • Enforcement Updates
    • Income Requests
    • Request for Withdrawal
    • Request for Amended Certificates
    • Potential Returns
    • Case Returns
    • ‘ACERTS to Services Australia dd.mm.yyyy’ – notification of amended certificates
    • ‘Withdrawals to Services Australia master copy’ – withdrawal confirmation received
    • ‘70 cases sent for pre-transmittal (Customer Location) dd.mm.yyyy’ – pre-transmittal request
  • ‘dd.mm.yyyy (BAUnn)’ – business as usual (BAU) ‘In’ registrations
  • ‘dd.mm.yyyy (NZFnn)’ – New Zealand funded (NZF) registrations, and
  • ‘BAA Run to ACSP dd mm yy sent’ - bulk annual assessment run

All spreadsheets are saved in a specific folder relevant to the process in Hobart’s shared drive folder titled G:Drive/Int/NZ/YYYY.
