Assessing Form m (SY031) for ABSTUDY Additional Incidentals Allowance Claim 010-02020090




This document explains how to assess and process the Additional Incidentals Allowance Claim Form m (SY031).

When to use this form

Customers must complete the Additional Incidentals Allowance Claim Form m (SY031) if they:

  • are full-time tertiary students and
  • require financial assistance for the costs involved with essential course costs/items

The SY031 has two sections:

  • Student details
  • School/Faculty Declaration.

Receipts and quotes

Students must provide official receipts and/or quotes within 3 weeks of lodging the claim.

Official receipts must show:

  • the name of the business
  • details of each item purchased
  • the date and amount of each item purchased

Quotations must show:

  • the name of the business
  • the date the quote was supplied
  • a description of the items
Lodgement

The SY031 form can be lodged using the following options:

  • A self service option is availableOnline - using the Upload documents service
  • Post - via a reply paid envelope or by posting to Services Australia. See Processing Service details for: ABSTUDY and ABSTUDY PES
  • In person - at a service centre, or in remote areas, with a Centrelink field officer
